Before You Buy a Machine

Have You Thought Through All of This?

Most buyers focus on the machine spec. The ones who run into problems are the ones who didn't plan the line around it. These are the questions that determine whether your factory runs on day one — or sits idle for months.

Let Us Help You Plan
  • The blown film you produce — what machine will convert it into finished bags?
  • Is your factory's power supply three-phase 380V — and what is the total connected load?
  • When the machines arrive, who will install and commission them?
  • Do your operators know how to set film thickness, adjust the bubble and clear a jam?
  • Where will you source the first set of wear parts — screws, dies, sealing wires?
  • If any of these don't have a clear answer yet — this is exactly what Turnkey Solutions is for.

What Kind of Factory Are You Building?

Tell us your end product and your target market. We will configure the right combination of machines, matched and tested as a system before leaving our factory.

Path 01

"I want to produce film rolls and supply other factories."

You are a film material supplier. Your customers are bag makers, printers or laminators. You need consistent roll quality, tight thickness tolerance and high output.

Path 03

"I want a complete factory — from raw resin to printed, finished bags."

You are building a vertically integrated packaging operation. Full control from resin input to branded, printed bag output — with waste recovery closing the loop.

What Turnkey Means

What "Turnkey" Actually Includes at LayerQuestar

Turnkey is not a marketing word here. It is a defined scope of work with a clear start point, a clear end point, and a single party responsible for everything in between.

Equipment Supply

All machines in your line are manufactured, tested and shipped by LayerQuestar. Single source. Single invoice. Single point of accountability.

Line Layout Reference Drawing

We provide a dimensioned equipment layout drawing based on your floor plan, showing machine footprints, clearance zones and recommended operator paths. For planning reference — your local engineering team confirms final installation.

Utility Requirements Document

A complete specification sheet listing power draw per machine, compressed air pressure and flow, cooling water volume and temperature — everything your electrical and civil contractors need to prepare the site.

Factory Acceptance Test (FAT)

Every machine runs a 72-hour continuous production test at our Zhejiang factory before shipment. You or your representative are welcome to witness the test in person before final payment and dispatch.

On-Site Installation & Commissioning

LayerQuestar engineers travel to your factory for installation supervision and commissioning. We do not leave until the line is producing on-spec film and bags consistently.

Operator Training

Hands-on training for your production team covering machine startup, parameter setting, thickness adjustment, changeover procedure and basic maintenance. English and Chinese documentation included.

Clear Responsibility — No Grey Areas

We believe the most professional thing a supplier can do is tell you exactly where their responsibility ends and yours begins. This is what makes a project run smoothly.

LayerQuestar Is Responsible For Buyer / Local Contractor Is Responsible For
Equipment manufacturing and quality Factory building and civil construction
72-hour FAT before shipment Import customs clearance and duties
Export sea freight packaging Local electrical wiring (per our utility spec)
Installation supervision and commissioning Foundation and floor load compliance
Operator training and documentation Operator recruitment and daily management
Warranty-period technical support Consumables and raw material sourcing

Common Questions

Questions Buyers Ask Before They Commit

Straight answers to the questions that matter most when you are planning a complete production line.

What exactly is included in a LayerQuestar turnkey line?

A LayerQuestar turnkey line includes: all equipment in the agreed configuration, a line layout reference drawing, a utility requirements document (power, compressed air, cooling water), a 72-hour factory acceptance test before shipment, on-site installation supervision and commissioning, and operator training. The scope is defined in writing before the order is confirmed.

Can you supply a line configured for a specific bag type I need?

Yes. We configure lines around your end product, not around a standard package. Tell us the bag type (courier mailer, T-shirt, garbage, zipper, heavy-duty sack), the target film thickness, layflat width and daily output volume. We will specify the correct blown film machine, downstream equipment and bag making machine to match — and verify compatibility before quoting.

Do you provide factory layout drawings?

We provide a dimensioned equipment layout reference drawing based on your floor plan dimensions. This shows machine footprints, recommended clearance zones and operator access paths. It is provided as a planning reference for your building and electrical contractors — it is not a certified engineering drawing and does not replace a local professional assessment of your specific site conditions.

How long does it take from order confirmation to the line running in my factory?

The total timeline depends on the line configuration, your site readiness and shipping destination. Manufacturing and FAT lead time varies by machine complexity and current production schedule. Sea freight transit time varies by destination port. Site installation and commissioning duration depends on line size. We provide a project timeline with milestone dates at the proposal stage so you can plan your site preparation accordingly. [NEEDS CLIENT DATA — typical lead time ranges by configuration]

Can I start with one machine now and expand the line later?

Yes. Many buyers start with a blown film machine and add a bag making machine or printing line in a second phase. If you tell us your expansion plan upfront, we can ensure the first machine is specified to match the downstream equipment you intend to add — so there are no compatibility issues when you scale. We recommend discussing the full intended line even if you are only ordering part of it initially.

I already have some equipment. Can you supply only part of the line?

Yes. We can supply individual machines or partial line configurations. If you have existing equipment, share the specifications with us — film width, roll diameter, speed range — and we will confirm whether our machines are compatible before you order. We will not sell you a machine that does not match your existing line.

What training do you provide for our operators?

Our commissioning engineers provide hands-on training during the installation visit covering: machine startup and shutdown sequence, temperature and speed parameter setting, film thickness adjustment, bubble stability, changeover procedure and basic maintenance tasks. A full English-language operation and maintenance manual is included with every machine. Chinese documentation is also available.

Which countries have you supplied complete lines to?

LayerQuestar Machinery has delivered complete flexible packaging lines to customers in 120+ countries and regions since 2008, including markets across Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Africa, South America and Europe. We have commissioned lines in countries with varying power standards, infrastructure conditions and regulatory environments. If you would like to know whether we have worked in your specific country, contact us directly and we will confirm.
