From HDPE supermarket vest bags to LDPE boutique carry bags — LayerQuestar Machinery supplies every stage of the line, matched and tested before shipment.
Three bag types require three different equipment combinations. Select your target product — the line flow, film specs and recommended models below will update accordingly.
Blown film, printing and bag making typically run as separate offline stages — the film line runs continuously, rolls are stocked, and the bag machine pulls from inventory by order. Buy all three stages together, or fill only the gap you have.
Dedicated HDPE high-stalk blown film machine. Film width 700–3200mm, output 70–280 kg/h depending on configuration, film thickness 10–25μm with ±8% tolerance.
Plain-color bags need no printer. For branded printing, the LQ-6C series (50 m/min) or LQ-6CH high-speed series (120 m/min) supports up to 6 colors on HDPE film.
Dual-lane servo-driven automatic bag machine with integrated punch, seal, cut and stacking. Up to 700 pcs/min combined output across both lanes, depending on bag size and film gauge.
High-pressure LDPE blown film machine. Film thickness 20–50μm delivers the stiffness and clarity needed for retail flat bags and branded shopping bags.
Flat shopping bags almost always carry brand printing. The LQ-6C-6800 (800mm web) prints two standard bags side-by-side in a single pass, effectively doubling throughput versus a 600mm machine.
LQ-CRB series bottom-seal bag machine, web width 500–800mm, speed 30–120 pcs/min depending on bag size and film gauge. Servo-driven cut and seal.
Handle carry bags require thicker film (30–80μm). High-pressure LDPE machines deliver the flexibility and surface quality needed for premium print adhesion.
Premium carry bags almost always require brand printing. The LQ-6C series supports LDPE and PP substrates with up to 6-color full-process printing.
The LQ-HB-800 supports soft-loop, patch-handle, die-cut, drawstring and vest styles — five bag types on one machine, with tooling changeover rather than full machine replacement.
Blown film machine selection is determined by the bag type. The table below shows the key film parameters for all three configurations.
| Parameter | T-shirt / Vest Bag | Flat Shopping Bag | Handle Carry Bag |
|---|---|---|---|
| Primary Material | HDPE | LDPE / LLDPE | LDPE / PP |
| Film Thickness | 10–25 μm | 20–50 μm | 30–80 μm |
| Blown Film Type | HDPE high-stalk dedicated | LDPE high-pressure general | LDPE high-pressure general |
| Recommended Machine | LQ-AB Series | LQ-60 → LQ-80 | LQ-65 → LQ-80 |
| Printing Requirement | Optional (plain common) | Usually required | Almost always required |
| Bag Machine | LQ-430×2 | LQ-CRB Series | LQ-HB-800 |
| Bag Making Speed | Up to 700 pcs/min (dual-line) | 30–120 pcs/min | 60–100 pcs/min |
Match your daily output target and market position to the right line scale.
Output figures are indicative and vary by bag size, film thickness and operating conditions. Contact LayerQuestar Machinery with your specific bag dimensions and daily target for a matched configuration.
Buying blown film, printing and bag making from three separate suppliers creates a gap: nobody owns the interface between machines. LayerQuestar Machinery supplies and tests all three stages together.
Film width, roll diameter and core size are matched to the bag machine unwind before shipment. No guesswork on arrival.
Every machine runs continuously for 72 hours at our Zhejiang facility before crating. Faults are found and fixed before the machine reaches your floor.
One warranty covers the entire line. One engineer handles your after-sales. No finger-pointing between suppliers when a problem crosses machine boundaries.
LayerQuestar Machinery engineers travel to your factory for installation, commissioning and operator training — included as standard for complete line orders.
Screw segments, sealing wires, punch dies and print rollers are held in stock at our Zhejiang warehouse. Standard parts ship within 3 business days.
LayerQuestar Machinery has delivered production lines to customers in over 120 countries and regions. Export documentation, crating and freight coordination included.
Yes, in most cases. Because blown film and bag making run as separate offline stages — the film machine produces rolls that are stocked, and the bag machines pull from inventory — a single wide-format blown film machine can supply multiple bag machines running different bag types. The key constraint is film width: the blown film machine must be wide enough to produce the slit widths required by each bag machine. LayerQuestar Machinery can advise on the correct film width and slitting configuration for your specific bag mix.
A T-shirt bag machine (also called a vest bag machine) includes a punch unit that die-cuts the handle opening and side notches in a single stroke after sealing and cutting. A flat bag machine produces a simple bottom-sealed or side-sealed bag with no handle cutout. The two machine types are not interchangeable — a flat bag machine cannot produce T-shirt bags without a separate punching attachment, and a T-shirt machine is not optimised for plain flat bags. If you need both bag types, two separate bag machines are the standard approach.
No. If your customers require unprinted bags — common for supermarket checkout bags, produce bags and basic refuse bags — you can run a two-stage line: blown film machine directly to bag machine, with no printer in between. Adding a flexo printer later is straightforward because the three stages operate offline and independently. Many factories start without a printer and add one when a printed-bag customer is secured.
HDPE produces a stiffer, higher-tensile film at very thin gauges (10–25μm), which gives the T-shirt bag its characteristic crinkle and allows it to carry significant load despite its thin wall. LDPE at the same thickness would be too soft and stretchy to hold its shape as a carrier bag. The trade-off is that HDPE requires a dedicated high-stalk blown film machine with a taller cooling tower — it cannot be run on a standard LDPE machine without significant process adjustments and usually lower output. This is why T-shirt bag lines and flat/handle bag lines use different blown film machine specifications.
The LQ-430×2 dual-line machine produces up to 700 pcs/min combined across both lanes under standard operating conditions. Running 20 hours per day (allowing for changeover and maintenance), this equates to approximately 840,000 bags per day at peak speed. Actual output varies by bag size, film thickness and operator efficiency. Smaller bags at thinner gauges run faster; larger bags with thicker film run slower. Contact LayerQuestar Machinery with your specific bag dimensions for a realistic daily output estimate.
Yes. The LQ-HB-800 is designed as a multi-function platform. Switching between soft-loop, patch-handle, die-cut, drawstring and vest bag configurations requires a tooling changeover — replacing the relevant forming and punching components — rather than replacing the machine. Changeover time varies by handle type. [NEEDS CLIENT VERIFICATION: typical changeover time per style transition.] This makes the LQ-HB-800 well-suited for factories serving multiple retail customers with different bag specifications.
Lead time from order confirmation to factory readiness for shipment is typically 60–90 days for a complete three-stage line, depending on configuration and current production schedule. [NEEDS CLIENT VERIFICATION: confirm current lead times.] Sea freight transit adds 15–35 days depending on destination port. On-site installation and commissioning by LayerQuestar Machinery engineers typically takes 7–14 days after machines arrive at your factory. Total timeline from order to first bag production is typically 90–130 days.
Yes. LayerQuestar Machinery stocks wear parts for all three stages of the line — including sealing wires, punch dies and doctor blades for the bag machine, anilox rollers and plate cylinders for the flexo printer, and screw segments and die components for the blown film machine. Standard wear parts ship from our Zhejiang warehouse within 3 business days. A recommended spare parts kit for the first year of operation is available with every complete line order.
